This art gallery is a representative exhibition institution of contemporary art, and according to its vocation, it is an open and diverse showcase of Hungarian and international artistic aspirations. Truly diverse and imposing exhibitions await the visitors.

Through its exhibitions, high-quality publications and educational activities, it conveys the traditions and fresh values of visual culture in a broad sense to all ages, to a wide range of audiences, to tourists, to visitors from abroad and to anyone who happens to be open to art.

With its many events, special guided tours and scientific conferences, it has grown into one of the cultural centers of the capital. It invites and receives visitors to Budapest as a tourist destination.

In 2016, the Műcsarnok was moved into its elegant building, which was designed by Albert Schickedanz and is very suitable for the presentation of fine arts.
